Multi Country South Asia (MSA) Program Overview

The Global Fund supported South Asia Regional HIV program is currently in its second phase of grant implementation started from July 2013 to September 2018. With Save The Children International (SCI) serving as Principal Recipient in this phase, the program covers seven countries in South Asia (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) through direct program implementation. Under the guidance and supervision of NACO and SCI, the selected sub recipient – The Humsafar Trust will implement the program activities in India till September 2018focussing on Men who have Sex with Men aligned with the National Strategic Plan 2017 – 2020 and NACP IV.


Community System Strengthening and Advocacy Seed Grants (CASG)

 Considering the need and the objective of the Multi Country South Asia Regional HIV (MSA) Program with a strong community systems strengthening (CSS) focus and with reference to the Global Fund’s CSS Framework, one of the main component in the program wasAdvocacy Seed Grants which aimed to provide support towards MSM led organization on community driven initiatives in advocating related policy environment at local or national level. The Humsafar Trust provided Advocacy seed grant to total of 17 CBOs during 2015-2017. The objective of the video documentation is to highlight achievements of top 5 CBOs under Advocacy seed grant. The video is intended for key stakeholders such as donor agencies and CBO leaders.


Scope of work:

This consultancy entails the development and maintaining of one (1) video on Advocacy Seed Grant program.

Specifically, the following services that address the grant’s requirements are expected to be provided by the agency:

  1. Develop and maintain one (1) short video (maximum 15 minutes) covering key achievements and outcomes of Advocacy seed grant. The video will provide brief introduction about seed grant recipient CBOs, their activities and key achievements.
  2. The selected agency is expected to work within the timeframe and finalize the video by incorporating the suggested revisions and feedback from The Humsafar Trust. The Humsafar Trust will provide the agency with the contact details of selected 5 CBOs.
  3. Agency will be provided travel, accommodation and per diem related expenses as per MSA Program norms to visit 5 locations across India for this assignment.
