Background: Founded in April 1994, The Humsafar Trust (HST) is India’s firstcommunity-based organization (CBO) of self-identified homosexual men, MSM, Hijras and LBT persons. The HIV interventions of HST are supported by National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and Mumbai District AIDS Control Society (MDACS) to provide health services to Men who have sex with men (MSM) and Transgender communities every year through Public Health Care delivery systems and its In-house clinics. HST organises advocacy workshops for health care provides, law enforcement agencies, judiciary, legislators, politicians and political parties, Government bodies, media, student community to sensitise them on Gay, MSM and TG issues. HST also provides legal support, crisis management, mental health and nutrition counselling to its communities.

a) Provide STI/HIV care and support through HST clinic and referral centers.
b) Attending coordination meeting with nodal A.R.T. center at L.T.M.M.C. &G.H., at regular intervals and maintain the documents as per the protocol.
b) Ensure procedures for partner treatment
c) Maintain patient register, drug register (PrEP , PEP and other general medicine), STI/RTI and Link ART center register as per MDACS and Donor requirement.
d) Check for availability of medicines and inform the clinic in-charge about the same.
e) Ensure medicines are within the expiry period and intimate the clinic in-charge about the expired medicines.
f) Provide necessary treatment and make referrals as required.
g) Signing the HIV test reports of the clinic
h) Provide training to newly appointed doctors of the TI.
i) Share all epidemiological data on a regular basis with the Chairperson/CEO/ Director HIV Programs and clinic and counseling head in strictest confidence and as and when required.
j) Submission of monthly report to MDACS and other donor agencies
k) All the data, clients and staff confidentiality should be maintained at every stage.
Qualifications, Experience and competencies:
- Qualification – MBBS
- Experience required – 1 to 3 years
- Analytical and Self driven
- Knowledge of MS office applications and Report generation
- Good Communication Skills
- Ability to speak and write in English, Hindi and Marathi
