Production Intern

Job Title: Production Intern 

Location: Vakola, Santacruz East. 

Reporting to: Communication Consultant 

This is an entry level position. Smart freshers are welcome. Candidate is required to work from Office. 

Background:  

Founded in April 1994, The Humsafar Trust (HST) is India’s first community-based organization (CBO) of self-identified homosexual men, MSM, Hijras and LBT persons. The HIV interventions of HST are supported by National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and Mumbai District AIDS Control Society (MDACS) to provide health services to Men who have sex with men (MSM) and Transgender communities every year through Public Health Care delivery systems and its In-house clinics. HST organizes advocacy workshops for health care provides, law enforcement agencies, judiciary, legislators, politicians and political parties, Government bodies, media, student community to sensitize them on Gay, MSM and TG issues. HST also provides legal support, crisis management, mental health and nutrition counseling to its communities. 

Job Summary: 

  • Provide comprehensive support to ensure the smooth functioning of the organization.  
  • Assist in studio bookings, managing and coordinating postproduction, editing transfers of films. Conversion of films to various formats. 
  • Support in planning, organizing & coordinating workshops, engagement activities, events and external & internal meetings. 
  • Extensive research to identify various International and national film festivals.  
  • Study submission guidelines and able to manage the submissions independently after approval. 
  • Contribute to maintaining positive relationships with partners, donors, concerned authorities and other key stakeholders. 
  • Maintaining and updating database, documents etc. 
  • Handle internal and external communication i.e. emails/phone calls etc. 
  • Coordinate with interns, volunteers, teams etc. 
  • The Production Intern will work with the Advocacy and Communications teams and other individuals within the organization as and when required. 
  • Any other task as assigned by the Reporting Head. 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A BMM or bachelor’s degree in any relevant field, preferably in films and/or media. 
  • Previous internship experience in administrative or support roles will be an added advantage. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. 
  • Attention to detail and meticulous in handling documents, paperwork, and financial records.  
  • Being tech savvy will be an added advantage.
