Position Title: Project Coordinator Location –Mumbai, Maharashtra Reporting to: Project Director Last Date to apply: June 30,2023 Duration: 4 months BACKGROUND: Founded in April 1994, The Humsafar Trust (HST) is India’s first community-based organization (CBO) of self-identified homosexual men, MSM, Hijras and LBT persons. The HIV interventions of HST are supported by National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and Mumbai District AIDS Control Society (MDACS) to provide health services to Men who have sex with men (MSM) and Transgender communities every year through Public Health Care delivery systems and its In-house clinics. HST organises advocacy workshops for health care provides, law enforcement agencies, judiciary, legislators, politicians and political parties, Government bodies, media, student community to sensitize them on Gay, MSM and TG issues. HST also provides legal support, crisis management, mental health and nutrition counseling to its communities. About Project The Humsafar Trust (HST) has been awarded the project which is supported by PATH funded by CDC India “Project Sunshine plus”. HST will play key roles in implementing capacity building and Peer led approach for reaching unreached population with HIV services and community strengthening. The project aims to conduct capacity building activities for community strengthening, with the objectives to implement different modalities of outreach, increasing testing, adding virtual outreach and to demonstrate U=U among PLHIV population through community engagement.
