Job Title: Senior Finance & Admin Officer Location: Delhi Duration: 9 months – (up to December 2023) Reports to: Finance Manager Last Date to apply: April 28th, 2023 About the Organization: The Humsafar Trust Founded in April 1994, The Humsafar Trust (HST) is India’s first community-based organization (CBO) of self-identified homosexual men, MSM, Hijras, and LBT persons. The HIV interventions of HST are supported by National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and the Mumbai District AIDS Control Society (MDACS) to provide health services to Men who have sex with men (MSM) and Transgender communities every year through Public Health Care delivery systems and its In-house clinics. HST organizes advocacy workshops for health care providers, law enforcement agencies, judiciary, legislators, politicians and political parties, Government bodies, media, and the student community to sensitize them on Gay, MSM, and TG issues. HST also provides legal support, crisis management, mental health, and nutrition counseling to its communities. The Humsafar Trust has been awarded the Sub recipient of the Global Fund Project. This project aims to consider challenges faced by key populations. This grant request seeks investments to build a strong, sustainable, and resilient mechanism to address the needs of the key population through a community response. The outcomes will build resilient community groups to mitigate the impact of unforeseen circumstances like the COVID pandemic. The project takes a stride closer to enhancing the enabling environment by reducing gender, legal, and human rights-related barriers that impede community response to HIV services. The project will also facilitate contributing to one of the unmet objectives of the National Strategic Plan of the elimination of stigma and discrimination. For more information about The Humsafar Trust, please visit: https://www.humsafar.org/ Job Summary: The person will be accountable for managing regular financial accounting, booking, budgeting, documentation and tracking of GFATM supported project related expenses. The person will also support to HST Mumbai Office in drafting financial projections and tracking actual expenses. S/he will engage and work with Project Director, Finance Manager The person will support Finance Manager in ensuring complete compliance to GFATM financial norms & system and Indian laws in financial management and reporting. The person may be provided additional responsibilities as advised by Manager Finance and Project Director. The specific responsibilities are listed below: Job Responsibilities: Others Qualification Essential: Graduate/ Post-graduate (commerce) Minimum 5 years of experience in handling accounting, budgeting, bank transactions, and audits Understanding of Indian laws like taxation, PF, FCRA, etc Proficient in MS office and excel and other accounting. Preferred: Knowledge of GFATM/USAID financial and reporting system Experience in handing finance and budget on GFATM supported projects at least for two years Communication skills: Able to articulate and communicate well to all stakeholders (both verbally and in writing) in a manner that meets the different needs of different audiences. Language skills: Compensation: Monthly remuneration up to INR 62,000/- will be offered to the candidate commensurate with qualifications and experience.
