The Humsafar Trust offers financial support to LGBTQ+ students for educational and upskilling courses. This support is offered under Bhavishya, an initiative aimed at fostering inclusivity in educational institutions. The program is currently supported by Project TRANScend, Project Avsar, and Project Unnati, which focus on enhancing the inclusion of LGBTQ+ individuals in education and promoting skilling programs and educational opportunities for LGBTQ+ students.
The Scholarship Support Program is designed to economically support LGBTQ+ individuals in upskilling themselves and those intending to pursue higher education but are unable to afford it due to unavoidable circumstances. This support also extends to short-term certificate courses.
Who Should Apply?
LGBTQ+ individuals above the age of 18 who are pursuing a course in India are eligible to apply for this support.
Please note that if selected, the candidate will be required to pay the fees to the institution first, and The Humsafar Trust will reimburse the amount to the candidate. There will be a maximum cap on the disbursement amount. The application process involves multiple verification steps, so please be patient while we process your application.
