Founded in 1994, The Humsafar Trust (HST) is India’s leading LGBTQ+ community-based organization, driving advocacy, inclusion, and policy change. HST collaborates with corporate, government, and community partners to foster inclusive environments, strengthen governance, and enhance program impact. This role supports the CEO in ensuring operational efficiency, strategic coordination, and organizational growth.
Job Responsibilities:
Working in accordance with the job responsibilities as defined in The Humsafar Trust Human Resources Policy and with support and supervision provided by the Chief Executive Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in developing and maintaining key organizational policies and documentation.
· Support grant management, compliance processes, and regulatory filings.
· Coordinate meetings, events, and internal engagements for effective communication and collaboration.
· Facilitate logistical and operational planning for new and ongoing initiatives.
· Ensure smooth execution of recruitment and onboarding processes.
· Provide high-level administrative assistance to the CEO, including documentation and reporting.
· Support governance, board engagements, and stakeholder communication.
· Coordinate strategic partnerships and external engagements.
· Oversee the documentation and dissemination of key organizational research / other grants initiatives.
· Support the management of social media, website content, and digital presence.
· Assist in strengthening branding and communication strategies for stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications & Competencies:
· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in administrative coordination, executive assistance, or non-profit management.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite, and project management tools.
· Ability to work independently and handle confidential information responsibly.
· Prior experience working in LGBTQ+ rights, social sector organizations, or policy advocacy.
· Familiarity with grants management, event coordination, and governance documentation.
· Basic knowledge of website management, branding, and content development.
